Queens Wharf Masterplan
Auckland, New Zealand
To create a versatile space suitable for observing marine sporting events and hosting a variety of public activities
The brief was to create a versatile space suitable for observing marine sporting events and hosting a variety of public activities, such as small outdoor concerts, markets, and other events, serving as a focal point for tourism in Auckland Harbour. Our concept involves extending the Queen Street retail experience onto the wharf. Additionally, the project includes a small hotel and a museum celebrating the works and achievements of Sir Edmund Hillary. The architectural treatment is a fusion of modern design and the architectural style from the era when the wharf was originally constructed.
