Hikari House (meaning light in Japanese) is a carefully resolved response to a steep, irregular site and strict height controls, where architecture, landscape and interior design were developed in close collaboration from the outset.

This new building had to be exciting, and memorable and exude the notion of entertainment.

The main theme of ‘Guardianship' is supported by the local iwi story of the ‘Flight of Reipae’.
